Job Description:

LHH Recruitment Solutions has a Mechanical Engineer opening for our client in the Saddle Brook, NJ area. This direct hire role allows you to elevate your engineering career by collaboration through responsibility for project and reliability maintenance activities, including safety, compliance, quality, productivity, costs, diagnostic, compliance and departmental collaboration. This on-site position requires a minimum of 10 years of mechanical engineering in a maintenance role of a manufacturing environment and a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or a related field of study.

Salary range: $110,000 to $120,000.

RESPONSIBILITIES;
  • Responsible for maintaining the mechanical integrity of our maintenance systems and programs.
  • Must be focused on promoting safe operations and leading repair projects.
  • Ensure all work performed by internal and external resources is conducted by company safety policies and results in an incident-free work environment.
  • Responsible for evaluating all projects before installation to ensure no safety hazards are created either during installation or by changes to operational procedures
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and codes.
  • Ensure all vendors, visitors and contractors engaged have the required certifications for the work they will execute.
  • Responsible for project and reliability maintenance activities, including but not limited to safety, compliance, quality, productivity & cost.
  • Lead and track continuous improvement maintenance and engineering planning and goals aligned with KPI and P&L goals.
  • Contribute to the annual project and repair budget forecasts.
  • Collaborate with other departments for repair cost optimization.
  • Responsible for managing repairs and projects to achieve P&L objectives.
  • Desire to collaborate and develop personnel, enhance technical training abilities, and assembling materials for training.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • B.S. degree in engineering or related background required.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in maintenance leadership and engineering capacities.
  • Proven engineering experience and exhibited leadership skills.
  • Strong understanding of KPIs internally and client based including purchasing KPIs and requisitions.
  • Strong understanding of residual shipping requirements to clientele and meeting clientele metrics.
  • The ability, drive and willingness to develop and mentor a team and individuals technically and managerially as the business grows.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, with strong communications skills.
  • Manage capital projects efficiently, on time, and within budget.
  • Proven current working knowledge and application of maintenance reliability principles.
  • Proven ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and challenging deadlines.
  • Desire to learn and investigate new systems, machinery and cost principles to ensure more efficient operations.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience highly preferred.
