Develop technical manuals, drawings, models, training documents, preventative maintenance plans and troubleshoot guides for automated equipment and automated processes.
Support the validation of the automated equipment operations
Coordinate Preventative Maintenance initiatives and communicate daily department activities.
Interface with a variety of automated equipment and drive controls solutions to eliminate defects improve cycle times, reduce machine downtime
Help support and develop equipment controls requirements and specifications.
Support design engineers qualifying complex automation controls solutions and applications.
Prepare and maintain documentation related to the operation of the automation equipment.
Conduct equipment design reviews and provide design guidance to suppliers.
Support the development of qualification protocols and equipment qualifications.
Support New Product Development automation needs.
Understanding of PLC scan flow (inputs, Decisions, outputs)
Ability to work with logic that is full of Set/Reset (latch/unlatch) bits, NOT Finite State Machine.
Experience working on Servos, Robots, HMI's, PLC's, Vision cameras, TCP/IP, ProfibusDP, Profinet, RDC, asynchronous serial data, cable impedance, statement table logic and ladder logic, IFM optical sensors, level transducers, pressure transducers, laser distance sensors, sensor wireless data bridges 2.4GHz
Qualifications/Requirements:
B.S in Engineering or a Technical Practice with Curriculum in Computer Science or Electrical practices with 5 - 10 years of experience
5 - 10 years of experience as a project manager / lead for automation projects from the design phases through deployment.
Allen Bradley ControlLogix, Siemens Simatic S7, Beckhoff TwinCAT, Mitsubishi, Schneider, Omron / PLC development Experience.
Experience with SCADA (Supervisory and data Acquisition Systems.
Knowledge of Design Of Experiment
Knowledge of development of Standard Operating Procedures
Proficient in Microsoft Applications, word, excel ect.
