Akkodis is seeking an Engineering Technician for a 2-year W2 contract job with a client in Louisville, Kentucky. This Engineering Technician will work out of the central lab and be one of the primary users of the scanning technology. This role will work with the engineers and analysts to create the required scans necessary to complete the part and assembly dimensional analysis. Candidates will need to be familiar with scanning principles, as well as CAD practices and metrology. This job will be very hands on, fast paced, and varied from day to day.

Rate Range: $25.00/hour to $26.00/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Complete 3D scans as requested / required by engineers and analyst.
Prep parts for scanning, including targeting and spray painting.
Communicate and work closely with analyst to ensure timely completion of all necessary scans.
Conduct demonstrations for engineers and project a helpful, knowledgeable presence in the lab.
Support the development of new fixturing and measurement techniques.
Definition of each scanning project, including scans needed and reports required.
Obtaining required CAD data form engineer or CREO/Windchill needed to complete analysis. This position is NOT performing CAD drafting/design, but simply knowing how to access correct files in a CAD library.
Coordination of all projects in the scan lab, including scheduling and report outs.
Keep the lab clean and organized both inside and outside.
Execute the calibration lab scanners.
Desired Qualifications:
College degree desired, technical field preferred.
Must have good communication skills and work with others in a team environment.
Ability to read and understand GD&T drawings, part/tooling drawings.
Prior experience analyzing 3D measurements.
Must be willing to learn, be a self-starter, and have critical thinking skills.
Familiar with PolyWorks, Dataloop, VXelements, and/or Creaform Hardware
