Day-to-Day:
Our client is seeking a senior level NPI Manufacturing Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for being a NPI leader and managing concurrent engineering with volume production, problem solving and overall program management. Responsibilities can include the following:
Lead the transition of new products from design to production, defining critical method instructions, and ensuring milestones are met on time and within scope
Define and drive product architecture to create a Configure to Order strategy
Collaborate with suppliers and engineers to optimize product design, architecture and improve manufacturability as well as implementing methods related to DFA (design for assembly) or DFT (design for test)
Develop and manage BOM structures, including creating ECMs and ensuring alignment with sourcing, manufacturing and test strategies
Troubleshoot and resolve technical mechanical, electrical, operational and/or control issues during final testing. Recommend and implement measures for production or quality improvement
Continuously improve manufacturing processes using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven methods
Support product lifecycle management at contract manufacturing sites and provide regular status updates, solving any issues at large identified via a preventative action plan
