Housing and meals are provided. The work schedule consists of six 10-hour days per week, with one week off every seventh week, while still being paid for the full seven weeks. $50 p/hour.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Engineer to manage federal contracting construction and infrastructure projects in Fairbanks, Alaska. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience, and will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and compliance of projects with federal regulations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead engineering and construction activities for federal projects, ensuring full compliance with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and other relevant regulations.
Coordinate with government agencies, subcontractors, and internal teams to manage project schedules, budgets, and technical specifications.
Review and approve engineering plans, technical drawings, and construction methodologies.
Conduct risk assessments, quality control inspections, and ensure all work adheres to federal and environmental standards.
Prepare and submit detailed technical reports, documentation, and progress updates to stakeholders.
Oversee procurement and materials management to ensure compliance with contract terms.
Assist with project cost estimation, bidding processes, and subcontractor negotiations.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges that arise in the field.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in federal contracting, infrastructure, or government construction projects.
Preferred:
Experience working with USACE, NAVFAC, or military construction projects.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification.
