Insight Global is hiring for an Electrical Project Manager role with a client in the renewable energy space. This person will be part of their implementation team as an Engineering Project Manager to drive delivery of utility scale SCADA systems. They will coordinate with their design teams, software engineers, contractors, regulators, and clients to manage a portfolio of 5-10 large scale 50MW and above solar and battery storage projects. They will report to the Senior Project Portfolio Manager and work alongside a small team of project delivery professionals, as well as collaborate across the organization with our technology, engineering, and business development teams.
50% time spent with external stakeholders | 50% time spent with internal team
Developing and managing all aspects of a project including scope, schedule, budget, resources, and delivery team
Engage with the internal and external stakeholders in the development of a project plan
Manage communication among internal and external stakeholders regarding project status, risks/issues, and solutions
Actively manage multiple concurrent projects and resources on separate, overlapping project schedules
Create change orders for additional or out-of-scope work
Track and report on project portfolio performance
Support business development activities such as reviewing pricing estimates and project scope
Must Haves:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field (Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing)
0-5 years of increasing project management responsibility in Project Management in Electrical Utility, Renewable Energy, or Technology Industry
Practical experience in applying project management practices and procedures
Knowledge of renewable energy generation, electrical engineering, and SCADA technologies
Strong computer skills in MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, and SharePoint
Valid CA driver's license and clean driving record
Plusses:
CAPM or PMP certification
Compensation:
$40/hr to $55/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
