Insight Global's client is seeking several EMR Analysts to join their team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in collaborating with third-party vendors on system design and implementation, as well as working with clinical workgroups on application development, interoperability, and deployment of healthcare systems. Your responsibilities will include performing technical and functional software system configuration, building, device mapping, and integration to support various third-party and EMR enterprise systems. The hospital currently utilizes several EMR applications, including Meditech, Net Health, Netsmart, and Homecare/Homebase.
Must Haves:
5 years of experience in various EMR system application platforms with one of the following: Epic, Net Health, TherapySource, WoundExpert, Netsmart, CareRecord, Homecare, Homebase
Mature Understanding of application and technology specifications, support process, and clinical workflows.
Strong knowledge of database management systems and interoperability in healthcare.
Familiarity with healthcare standards and regulations (e.g., HL7, HIPAA)
Associate's degree
Pluses
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Epic migration/implementation - ideally from Meditech or the EMRs listed above
Day to Day
As the hospital transitions to Epic as their new EMR platform in 2025, you and your fellow analysts will be tasked with evaluating technology specifications for the EMR platform and ensuring software/system integration is reliable and feasible within the existing healthcare IT infrastructure. Additional duties will involve documenting and communicating the impact of new releases, upgrades, software packages, and changes to business and operational users before and during implementation. You will also be responsible for executing regular system maintenance, upgrades, patching, and handling emergent changes. Ensuring all systems comply with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and providing 24/7 on-call support when scheduled will be essential. Lastly, you will assist in developing communication and training plans for end users, both internal and external, on EMR functionality.
