The EHS Program Manager oversees the Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) program, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role involves developing and implementing safety strategies, fostering a culture of safety, and collaborating with management, staff, and regulatory bodies to ensure workplace safety and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage EH&S programs aligned with business objectives and regulations.
Promote a proactive safety culture and track key EH&S metrics.
Provide training, guidance, and expertise to employees and management.
Conduct audits, inspections, and investigations to improve workplace safety.
Manage programs such as emergency response, ergonomics, hazardous waste disposal, and regulatory compliance.
Represent the company during regulatory inspections and ensure compliance with agencies such as OSHA, EPA, and local environmental authorities.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
10+ years of EH&S program management in a regulated manufacturing environment (life sciences preferred).
Certifications such as ASP, CSP, CIH, or CHMM preferred.
Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
Experience with ISO standards, cGMP, and Quality Systems.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
