Kelly is hiring a Laboratory Technician for one of our clients in Fresno, CA.
Brief Overview: Project based lab with defined objectives from each client. Execute customer provided goals on food products. Often testing high volume of samples. Need someone to help weight out samples, pour plates, etc. Will also help with cleaning the lab.

Duration: This position will be offered as a temporary part time position, targeted for 1-2 months and will require availability to support as needed
Potential to convert?: May have the opportunity to apply to other roles within Eurofins, hire based on performance
Schedule: M-F 8 AM start time, may work until 3 - 5
*Hours can vary, can't guarantee 40 hours
*Typically know the schedule 2 weeks in advance to plan
Pay & Flexibility: $18.00
Qualifications: Ideally someone who has experience in the lab, Degree preference. Micro or class experience preferred

Micro Lab Tech (Part time) Qualifications • The Microbiology Technician will need a solid understanding of microbiological techniques, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, repetitive environment • Associates or BS degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field • Proven work experience as a Microbiology Laboratory Technician or in transferable laboratory setting (Academic lab included) • Hands-on experience with relevant equipment, procedures, and safety regulations • Knowledge of modern microbiological techniques • Experience in preparing cultures of bacteria and other microorganisms • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment • Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English • Training will consist of filtering and plating biological concentrates • Perform routine microbiological laboratory procedures and analyses • Maintain, calibrate, clean and test sterility of lab equipment • Isolate and make cultures of bacteria or other microorganisms • Document all data and results in specified forms • Conduct microbial analyses of samples collected from various sources • Adhere to correct procedures, policies, and health/safety guidelines • Prepare specimens and samples for testing • Work in compliance with laboratory safety standards • Prepare detailed reports of laboratory results and findings
