Nature of Work
Under close supervision, this entry-level position will perform analytical, diagnostic, and epidemiological laboratory testing in the Diagnostic Immunology Section.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Rapid latex particle agglutination,
Rapid plasma reagin,
Multiplex enzyme immunoassay, and
Nucleic acid amplification testing
Employee will also perform a variety of general laboratory duties, quality assurance, and quality control activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Training: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a biological, microbiological, chemical, or environmental science, medical technology, molecular biology, forensic science or related field.
Special Requirement: For positions which involve processing and analysis of human specimens and/or the generation or interpretation of laboratory results that may be used in the diagnosis or treatment of a disease or condition in humans, the incumbent must have or be eligible for licensure as a WV Clinical Laboratory Practitioner as required by 64 C.S.R.§57.
