A growing company in the food manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead its food safety and compliance initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in SQF standards, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance to ensure all products meet the highest safety and industry standards. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader who can drive continuous improvements, oversee audits, and maintain compliance across multiple product lines.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality & Compliance Leadership - Manage and enhance the company's quality assurance programs, ensuring alignment with food safety objectives and regulatory standards.
SQF Compliance & Certification - Act as the company's SQF Practitioner, maintaining compliance with SQF Code, GFSI standards, and customer requirements.
Regulatory Oversight - Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across food, OTC, supplements, and cosmetic industries.
Process Improvement - Develop and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to optimize food safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Audits & Inspections - Oversee internal and external audits, including food safety and regulatory inspections, ensuring all documentation remains up to date.
Team Leadership & Training - Provide guidance and training to staff on food safety, regulatory requirements, and quality best practices.
Customer & Vendor Relations - Serve as the primary quality contact, ensuring that all customer specifications, safety requirements, and quality expectations are met.
Experience: 3+ years of experience managing SQF compliance and food safety programs.
Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs for product inspections.
Leadership Abilities: Proven experience in managing teams, implementing training programs, and driving a culture of quality and compliance.
