The Commodity Manager is responsible for executing sourcing strategies and making informed procurement decisions while ensuring supply continuity, cost efficiency, timely delivery, and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee purchasing, sourcing, and supplier relationship management for direct materials.
Ensure timely delivery of procured items to meet business demands.
Collaborate with engineering and sourcing teams to enhance quality, optimize schedules, standardize processes, and drive cost efficiencies.
Conduct RFx processes to assess and establish alternative suppliers, ensuring seamless operations.
Evaluate and engage with new suppliers to foster strong partnerships.
Stay informed on industry best practices and emerging trends, sharing insights with stakeholders.
Assess supplier capabilities and identify new sourcing opportunities based on evolving business needs.
Uphold sound procurement practices, ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and timeline requirements.
Adhere to company procurement policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree required.
At least 8 years of experience in material procurement within a manufacturing setting.
Proficiency in contract negotiation and development.
Experience in high-tech or semiconductor manufacturing environments.
Strong computer skills, particularly with MS Office and SAP.
