Job Description

Solidigm is seeking a Senior Engineer for NAND Development Business Operations, directly reporting to the Chief of Staff & Senior Director of NAND Development Business Operations. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the operational functions of our NAND development team, including hiring and onboarding, financial management, project management, and strategic planning. You will collaborate with factory and business stakeholders to drive the deployment of future technologies, as well as manage associated spending and capital expenditures (CapEx). Additionally, you will define and implement business processes to ensure quality and efficiency as the organization scales and evolves.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Operations Management:
  • Support business operations for the NAND development department, including hiring, onboarding, headcount management, and budgeting.
  • Establish and implement operational standards and business processes.
  • Continuously drive improvements in operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Project Management:
  • Oversee assigned projects from initiation through completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and develop strategies for mitigation.
  • Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and other teams to align with development objectives.

Financial Management:
  • Assist with budget management and financial planning, ensuring disciplined cost control.
  • Track and report on financial performance
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and resource optimization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and other departments to ensure alignment on goals and timelines.
  • Provide data-driven business insights to support decision-making across functions.
  • Serve as the liaison between business and technical teams.

Strategy and Planning:
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans for the NAND development department.
  • Assist in forecasting and planning for resource allocation, capacity, and demand.

Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational performance.
  • Use data insights to drive improvements in the development of timelines.
  • Report on the status of ongoing projects, deliverables, and milestones to senior leadership.

Risk Management:
  • Identify potential operational, financial, and strategic risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively resolve issues that could impact the development process or deliverables.
  • Maintain a risk register and update senior management on high-priority issues.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Extensive industry knowledge of semiconductor development processes
  • 10+ years of experience in business operations, project management, or a similar role in the semiconductor industry. Experience in semiconductor R&D or product development environments is preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving results.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently on projects and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to develop proactive solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large, complex projects and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Highly skilled in time management and capable of juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Financial acumen with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior executives, technical teams, and external stakeholders.

For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $127,260 - $203,620. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
