Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Private Equity Associate to join their investment team in Houston, TX. The Associate will play a key role in evaluating, executing, and managing investments in the midstream oil and gas space. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance, with a strong preference for individuals who have worked on midstream transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct financial modeling, valuation analysis, and due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
Assist in structuring and executing transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, and capital raising efforts.
Perform in-depth industry and market research to identify investment trends and opportunities.
Support the development of investment theses and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor portfolio company performance and collaborate with management teams to drive value creation.
Prepare investment memoranda and present findings to senior leadership and investment committees.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or a related field.
1-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance, with a focus on the oil and gas sector.
Prior experience working on midstream infrastructure transactions is highly preferred.
Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
