Description: Our client is currently seeking Speech Language Pathologists for part-time or full-time work!
Location: Around Delaware County
Hours: School hours but will have to travel to schools or homes (will be compensated for travel)
Candidates are able to choose their hours
Type: Open-Ended Contract
Job Responsibilities:
Accept referrals for children suspected of communication disorders.
Enter referrals into the screening/evaluation process according to program procedures.
Conduct screenings/evaluations individually, as part of a multidisciplinary team, or as part of a trans-disciplinary team.
Identify children with communication disorders through screening/evaluation.
Generate evaluation reports (ER) individually or as part of a team.
Develop, review, and/or revise Individual Education Programs (IEPs) for eligible children, in coordination with parents, teachers, and other personnel.
Provide appropriate intervention (individual, group, classroom-based, community-based) for eligible children.
Consult with parents, teachers, and other personnel regarding communication disorder management and the connection between language development and literacy.
Assist in developing, organizing, and conducting training related to communication and literacy.
Assist in developing, organizing, training, and implementing curriculum components related to communication and literacy.
Participate in grant projects related to communication and literacy for children.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology
Clinical Fellowship must be completed
Pennsylvania certification as required by the Department of Education.
Experience working with and evaluating students with special needs/developmental delays and with developing and implementing educational programs
Valid Pennsylvania driver's license necessary.
This position may involve activities billable to Medical Assistance (MA) or other state or federal healthcare programs. Therefore, clearance as a provider by both the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the federal government is essential

Master's Degree
Credentials necessary for participation in the School-Based ACCESS Program
ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competency
Post-graduate coursework with a focus on communication and reading/literacy
For Speech and Language Therapist assigned to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program, experience with deaf culture and students who are profoundly hearing impaired preferred
