Job Title:College and Regional Recruiting and Enrollment SpecialistDepartment:Arts and Sciences | Student Affairs Undergraduate Recruitment

The College and Regional Recruiting and Enrollment Specialist collaborates closely with the Assistant Dean to develop and implement strategic recruitment and retention plans to sustain applications and enrollment for New First Year Students (NFYS) and regional campus change students for Ohio State's College of Arts and Sciences (ASC); helps plan recruitment programs; presents on-campus and virtual academic overviews to prospective students and their families; represents ASC at University Admissions sponsored events, table fairs on- and off-campus; participates in in-state and out-of-state travels programs; tracks prospective students and creates and maintains databases; assists with HS outreach initiatives, including HS on-campus visit programs; assists with administrative tasks (Workday); provides front-line communication via phones and email to prospective students and families. The College and Regional Recruiting and Enrollment Specialist will also manage a first-year cohort of about 50-70 students in our Program for Advancing Scholarship and Service (PASS), a first-year academic learning community for Arts and Sciences students who have a shared interest in the academic, cultural, career and community benefits of service and leadership development.


Required: Bachelor's Degree required; Two years of relevant experience in college advising and/or admissions; ability to work effectively with individuals from various backgrounds; excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills; comfortable presenting in-person and virtually to 20-150+ participants; effective organizational skills; demonstrates ability to exercise sound judgement and maintain confidentiality; ability to function in a team-based environment; experience in MS Office required including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, proficient with Qualtrics and Zoom.




Desired: Master's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education; More than two years of experience in higher education outreach, recruitment, and student services; knowledge of higher education administration, recruitment and admissions trends, practices, and principles; excellent communication including writing and public speaking skills desired.

The pay range for this job profile is $20.02 - 26.33. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
