Role Summary

The position will support the Aviation-Connectivity arm of Anuvu. The focus is on maintaining and enhancing network security for the aviation connectivity production and lab networks. The security goals include compliance with SOX and PCI certification requirements and audits; customer, partner, vendor, and internal penetration scans and tests; incident response; and monitoring the latest threats and protective technologies.

Location: Lombard, Illinois.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain network and server security for the Anuvu production connectivity network. Responsibilities will include:
• Stay up to date on effective security measures and processes pertinent to the Anuvu network;
• Maintain awareness of vulnerabilities and remedies affecting our equipment and protocols;
• Support security testing and audits from customers, prospective customers, and partners;
• Implement effective SIEM system for aviation network;
• Support incident response efforts;
• Recommend and implement actions needed to maintain network security.
• Participate in development and management of Anuvu production network elements and connections, including teleport hardware such as switches, servers and firewalls. Work with partners to ensure network robustness and compatibility. Manage Lombard lab networks for robustness and access from other Anuvu locations.
• Cisco switch configuration and management;
• Management of Red Hat/Centos/Rocky/Ubuntu teleport servers and VMs;
• Management of Checkpoint firewall policy;
• Deployment of equipment for new teleports.

Education & Experience

• BS in computer science or related field;
• 3+ years network security experience
• Experience in Linux networking and administration
• Experience in SAN administration
• Experience in VM configuration/administration (such as ESXi or Openstack)
• AWS experience a plus
• OSCP/CISSP cert preferred

The anticipated starting salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $94,000 - $115,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as location, experience, skills, certifications…etc.
