The Pronghorn Group is a growing civil construction firm specializing in site development, earthwork, grading, paving, and underground utilities. Our projects support land developers and municipalities in transforming raw land into fully developed sites.
As we continue to expand, we need a skilled, analytical, and proactive Estimator to drive our bidding, cost estimation, and project feasibility efforts. As our Estimator, you will play a key role in accurately forecasting project costs, developing competitive bid packages, and ensuring project success.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare precise cost estimates.
Calculate labor, material, and time requirements to determine total project costs.
Develop and review bid packages, ensuring all exclusions, assumptions, and deliverables are clearly documented.
Use estimating software to manage estimates and cost tracking.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to assess project feasibility and risk.
Maintain and update cost databases, subcontractor/vendor pricing, and material cost trends.
Track bid performance metrics and continuously improve estimating efficiency.
Ensure all bid packages are completed on time, meeting project deadlines and compliance requirements.
Attend project and planning meetings, providing insights on cost analysis based on construction methodologies.
What We're Looking For
Experience: 5+ years estimating A-General Construction, Civil Construction, and Site Development projects.
Technical Knowledge: Strong expertise in excavation, grading, paving, and underground utilities.
Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
Local Expertise: Familiarity with Arizona construction regulations, permitting, and industry standards.
Precision & Detail-Oriented Mindset: Ability to analyze project costs with accuracy.
Strong Communication & Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.
Problem-Solving & Initiative: A self-starter who finds cost-saving solutions and optimizes bidding processes.
