THE ROLE
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations with a focus on leading Transformation, Business Technology, Customer Experience, and the Commercial Back Office. This regional role involves owning the project portfolio, process improvement, business technology roadmap and driving the regional data strategy. The COO will also engage with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives and ensure operational excellence.
Leadership and Strategy:
Lead the Transformation, Business Technology and Commercial Back Office teams.
Lead and engage with cross-functional teams to foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment
Collaborate with senior leadership to align business objectives with operational goals.
Engage with senior leadership to provide updates on operational performance and strategic initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and innovation.
Project Portfolio Management:
Own and manage the project portfolio, ensuring alignment with business priorities and Group project road map
Oversee the execution of key projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
Implement project management best practices and methodologies to ensure successful delivery of project plans
Manage real estate B.T infrastructure needs and oversee office moves as they arise, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations.
Process Improvement, Productivity, and LEAN Initiatives:
Lead the regional plan to develop a LEAN culture of continuous improvement, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency and productivity
Implement LEAN methodologies to streamline processes and reduce waste.
Monitor and measure the impact of process improvements on business performance and cost savings.
Business Technology Roadmap and Cyber Security:
Develop and maintain the business technology roadmap to support strategic objectives.
Oversee the implementation of technology solutions to enhance business operations.
Drive the regional data strategy in collaboration with regional data manager to improve data quality and coverage.
Lead cyber security regional plan to protect the company's digital assets in line with Group policy.
Customer Experience:
Lead initiatives to improve customer experience and satisfaction.
Implement customer-centric strategies to enhance service delivery.
Monitor customer and brokers feedback and implement improvements based on insights.
Supporting Strategic Initiatives:
Support strategic initiatives and projects as assigned from time to time.
Provide leadership and guidance to ensure successful execution of these initiatives.
THE CANDIDATE
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a senior role leading Operations preferably in Financial Services
Strong background in transformation, business technology and customer experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with LEAN methodologies and process improvement.
Knowledge of the latest technology trends and their application in the insurance industry.
