Control Air Enterprises, an employee-owned company (ESOP), is seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our Retrofit & Energy Group. Specializing in design-build, turnkey mechanical projects for both the commercial sector and ESCOs (energy services contracts), our team is looking for an experienced and highly organized Senior Project Manager to lead and manage these impactful initiatives. The Construction Site Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety regulations and quality standards. They will manage all aspects of the construction process, supervise field staff and subcontractors, and communicate with project stakeholders, ensuring the successful execution of the project from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Management:
Supervise daily operations on the construction site to ensure work is progressing according to schedule and within project specifications.
Oversee and manage all construction activities, including coordinating subcontractors, equipment, and materials.
Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment, enforcing safety policies and practices at all times.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including building codes, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
Team Coordination and Supervision:
Provide direction and support to the construction team, addressing issues promptly to maintain productivity.
Conduct regular site meetings to communicate project updates, timelines, and goals with workers and subcontractors.
Quality Control:
Monitor the quality of work to ensure it meets project specifications, company standards, and client expectations.
Identify potential construction issues and implement solutions to avoid delays or defects.
Inspect materials and work in progress to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Schedule and Budget Management:
Track project timelines and milestones, ensuring the project is completed on schedule.
Work closely with project managers to update timelines, adjust workflows, and meet deadlines.
Help maintain budget control by monitoring labor costs, material usage, and other site expenses.
Problem-Solving and Decision Making:
Act quickly to address and resolve issues such as labor shortages, design conflicts, or unexpected weather delays.
Make key decisions on-site to maintain the project schedule and quality.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
Proven experience (5+ years) in construction management or as a site superintendent.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction documents.
Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, ACC, etc.) is a plus.
OSHA certification or similar safety training .
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
