Position: Learning Guide (Seeking 1 Full-Time or Two Part-Time, 1099 Contract)

At Acton Midwest, our educational philosophy is learner-driven, inspired by Maria Montessori's belief: "Leave the children alone, for they have important work to do." We're looking for a homeschooling parent who deeply resonates with this philosophy, naturally stepping into the role of mentor and coach while fostering children's independence and self-directed learning.

Ideal for You If:

- You have homeschooling experience and a passion for fostering independent learning.

- You're a natural mentor or coach who supports children's exploration while gently guiding their growth.

- You value independence, accountability, and curiosity-driven education.

- You enjoy flexible hours and seek a meaningful contract position (1099) in a supportive community environment.

- You wish to integrate your professional and personal life, possibly by bringing your own children into our innovative learning community.

Not Suitable If You:

- Prefer heavily structured, adult-directed environments.

- Typically rely on traditional teaching methods or structured curriculum.

- Tend to closely supervise, manage, or 'helicopter' learners.

- Are uncomfortable with learners making mistakes and learning from natural consequences.

- Are looking for a traditional teaching role with fixed curriculum and rigid scheduling.
