Who You Are…

The Senior Export Agent needs to have a strong sense of leadership and customer service skills. They will assume an intricate role in our team as a principal representative to customers and managing the entire international shipment process from quote to delivery. As an operations leader, they are responsible for maintaining healthy, mutually beneficial relationships with Priority Worldwide's international freight forwarding vendors and regulatory agencies. Attention to detail and willingness to learn are essential qualities. Candidates must be accommodating to different cultures and willing to work with people that may possess few English-speaking skills.


Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Ocean Export Experience
  • Experience with Cargowise preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills

What you will do…

At the heart of our business, this person is responsible for timely, efficient, and cost­ effective movement, routing, occasional quoting of international freight, traffic including customs regulations, documentation preparation, and country regulations. We are a service company that strives to provide the Ultimate Customer Experience for our clients. A friendly attitude and teamwork are essential to maintaining healthy vendor relations and interoffice moral.


General Responsibilities:

  • Assess clients' requests/emails, acknowledge immediately, then action or assign to appropriate team
  • Directly oversee and have accountability for all Ocean Export shipments and Client interaction
  • Complete FMC Filings and auditing to ensure compliance with the FMC Filings
  • Handle MARAD reporting and carrier compliance
  • Steamship line carrier contract review and approval process
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective routings of Ocean Export shipments
  • Ensure proper handling of CRP/Secured Shipments
  • DG review and preparation
  • Negotiation of carrier rates
  • Pre-Alert shipments in a timely manner
  • Invoice agent routed shipments
  • Prepare international paperwork such as legalized documents, chamber documents, letter of
  • credits, etc
  • Keep export reports/stats and present them to the team. Shipment Counts,
  • File AES and review for accuracy and compliance
  • Monitor personal and shared category e-mails in the exports mailbox and sea folder
  • Liaison with international and domestic agents
  • Complete rate requests as needed
  • Track cargo and update clients as needed
