An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Engineer in the Americas Customer Regional Team. As a Service Engineer - Americas Customer Team, you will primarily provide engineering technical support for Rolls-Royce RB211-535 engines.
This role will support day-to-day operational questions from customers, leading in-service engine event investigations, tracking and reporting fleet reliability both internally and externally, as well as supporting customer reviews. This opportunity will have some domestic and international travel (less than 20%) to engine maintenance centers and customer sites.

Key Accountabilities:
Provide technical support to help resolve technical queries and operational arisings while leading Investigation of operational issues to establish root cause
Introduce containment actions and recommend corrective actions and develop and approve the technical content of technical publications/communications (used by OEM, build/commissioning/maintenance bases and customers) including acceptance limit development
Prepare and deliver technical communications (e.g. presentation and/or reports) to platform provider, regulators, customers, internal stakeholder.
Ensure compliance with requirements specified by regulatory authorities and to adhere to technical and business requirements of internal & external stakeholders. Where delegated, act as the Technical Authority providing assurance on build, commissioning and maintenance activities
Gather in-service data and carry out continuous improvement by identifying best practice and learning from experience activities, feeding back into future programs and product design teams
Represent Rolls-Royce at external customer conferences
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2+ years of engineering experience, OR
Master's degree in Engineering, OR
JD/PhD in Science, Technology or Engineering
In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Requirements:
Engineering or Numerical degree (or equivalent with experience)
Knowledge of components/ systems functionality and numerical methods
Experience of working on complex tasks that are novel and ambiguous
Familiarity of the in-service operation environment, including regulatory and compliance requirements
Experience in troubleshooting and/or problem resolution
Experience in support/lead cross-functional teams e.g. specialists, suppliers, customers, partners
