Responsibilities:
Conduct marine construction tasks under the direction of a crew leaderLoading and unloading of equipment and materialsAssisting with the installation of sheet piles, prestressed concrete piles, tubular steel piles, and H-PilesAssisting with the construction of bridges, walkways, piers, boat ramps, seawalls, docks, wharves, and jettiesSupport commercial diving operations when directedSafely rig items for crane operationsBuild the framework for concrete placement, including placing and finishing concreteInstall and tie rebar as per construction drawings and rebar specificationsStop any unsafe act that might endanger anyone or damage propertyWork in the companys shop and yard under the direction of the Shop Manager
Qualifications:
Possess basic carpentry skills and experienceUnderstand how to read a tape measure, level, and construction squareBe willing to learn basic construction materials and crane rigging operationsUnderstand or be willing to learn safe small boat and barge operationsUnderstand the basis for the projects Job Hazard Analysis and how it is used in developing the daily Site Safety BriefingFully understand and support individual employees Stop Work Authority
