Location: Newark, NJ

Salary: $105,000.00 USD Annually - $115,000.00 USD Annually

Description:
Our client, a Fortune 100 food distributor, is seeking a seasoned Category/Procurement Manager to lead their dairy category operations. This role offers a competitive salary and bonus that can total up to $150,000 in your first full year, depending on experience. This role will report directly to the Director of Procurement/Category Management while managing a Dairy Buyer.


Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain optimal dairy inventory levels.
• Resolve over-committed and urgent items.
• Increase inventory turns and resolve slow-moving inventory issues.
• Negotiate financial terms and ensure costing and pricing accuracy.
• Process returns and manage vendor billbacks.
• Communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Manage product quality issues and monitor expiration dates.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma (Bachelor's in Business Management, Marketing, or related area is a plus).
• 
  4+ years of dairy purchasing experience.
  
• 
  2+ years of supervisory experience.
  
• Strong negotiation, supplier relations, and inventory management skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Desktop computer skills.
