Overview

Improve equipment reliability and optimize area production through optimized maintenance activities.  Use predictive tools and preventative maintenance to prevent failures.  Track failures and determine root cause to prevent re-occurrence.  Project management to implement changes from root cause activities.



Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe work environment
  • Work with available resources to develop detailed job plans.  Use job plans to develop work packages for major and recurring jobs
  • MRO supply chain coordination as related to building planned jobs
  • Coordinate with Operations, Purchasing, Maintenance Personnel and Maintenance Management to prioritize work in area of responsibility
  • Develop Bill of Materials for each piece of equipment and enter in CMMS
  • Development of Gantt charts and critical path analysis for shutdowns and major jobs
  • Resource leveling to assist Maintenance Group Leader with scheduling
  • Create logistics plan for materials, equipment services and utilities required
  • Develop plan for managing external contractors
  • Post Shutdown reviews and action item development
  • Preventive Maintenance development and review with technicians
  • Participate in and lead Root Cause Problem Solving Activities
  • Lead weekly maintenance planning meetings for area
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications



Knowledge/Experience:

  • Computer knowledge: Word, Outlook, and Excel are required. Access and PowerPoint ideal
  • Mechanical and electrical expertise required
  • Sufficient craft knowledge
  • Mathematical skills
  • Computerized maintenance management system
  • Predictive maintenance practices to include: vibration, oil analysis, infrared thermography, laser alignment, ultrasonic
  • Root cause failure analysis
  • Demonstrated problem solving/ decision making skills

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to organize and execute work to control a variety of projects simultaneously
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and written.
  • Ability to inspect facilities by climbing ladders, crawling in spaces, and reaching inaccessible areas.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Business/Engineering or equivalent experience.  CMRP certification a plus.
