The University of Miami Health System, "UHealth", IT Department has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Epic Analyst, Inpatient Orders.
The Epic Analyst, Inpatient Orders. assists Associate Epic Analysts on the team and collaborates with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application's configuration, function, and access. The Epic Analyst 2 - Central (H) facilitates day-to-day application support and resolving application issues and provides day-to-day application support and resolving application issues.
Core Responsibilities:
Serves as a support contact for application end-users. Identifies issues and works to resolve them.
Designs, develops, implements, and maintains the application.
Supports all phases of testing and document workflow design.
Performs the analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validates the impacts to the workflow.
Provides day-to-day application support, evaluates and resolves service tickets, implements requested application changes, and retrieves requested data promptly.
Collaborates with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies.
Assists with analyzing the impact of information technology in clinical work processes.
Participates in on-call rotations and support.
Attends and participates in applicable committees.
Maintains regular communication with team members and participates in weekly project team meetings.
Reviews the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.
Becomes knowledgeable about UHealth's policies, procedures, and business operations.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Department Specific Functions:
Experience with Epic Maintenance related to version upgrades (scheduled), Nova Note reviews, Gold Stars
Participate in IT Organizational Projects
Optimization of Orders Transmittal - Organization wide impact
Participate in regulatory improvements - scheduled and Ad-Hoc
Participate in 3rd party integration projects - assist with workflow scope, testing and validations
Participate in New Sites, and Department migrations and maintenance
Participate with Charge testing, end-to-end workflow with Providers
Resource for Provider Notes flow, Provider Teams optimization
Resource for Revenue Integrity project
End-User training support; development support and review of Tip Sheets and related training materials
Participate in Application teams meetings scheduled and Ad Hoc
When required, travel on-site for 1) Go-Live Support, 2) Attend on-site meetings or Vendor meetings as needed / scheduled
Participate in IT Organizational Projects, testing
Participate/attend all required IT meetings
Proficiency with software virtual meetings (i.e. Zoom, Microsoft Teams)

CORE QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field
EpicCare Inpatient Procedure Orders (Required)
EpicCare Inpatient Orders Transmittal (Preferred)
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Ability to perform duties in a remote work setting
Knowledge with Incident reporting work queues such as ServiceNow
Experience with On-Call rotations
Facilitate meetings, Transcribe meeting minutes
Update and maintain project; project tasks; service now Incidents records, Universal Requests
Participate in yearly, quarterly, monthly one-on-one meetings as scheduled
Learn University of Miami change control processes and required documentation associated for change management
Review University of Miami policies and procedures for clinical support staff
Complete IT scheduled compliance trainings.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
Ability to lead, motivate, develop and train others.
Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
