Job Description:
Budget Title: Senior Counselor (SL-4)
Salary: $56,000 - $62,000 (10-month, college year)
Binghamton University's Counseling Center (UCC) seeks a Senior Counselor for a full-time 10-month renewable position with benefits for a counselor providing mental health counseling services to a culturally diverse student population. This is a generalist position serving students with a wide range of issues with preference given to applicants with interest and experience in multicultural counseling, especially with students of color. Early career applicants are welcome.
Duties of the position include short-term individual and group counseling, crisis work, assessment, consultation, outreach, psycho-educational workshops, liaison/consultant relationships, and possibly clinical supervision and training of interns. The position may at times involve consultation or outreach outside of core business hours. All clinical staff positions involve some administrative duties and roles.

The UCC supports its clinicians engaging in flexible clinical approaches with high quality individual supervision and team-based peer consultation. We are an interdisciplinary team integrated in the Health and Counseling department and we work closely with Psychiatry which is co-located in the same building.
