The Operations Clerk – Deseret supports the Operational side of the Deseret team in data entry, Service Member and government agency coordination. Responsible for managing emails, paperwork, correcting rates and documentation and accurate filing.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for placing new bookings with agents.
  • Coordinates and plans outbound and inbound flow of shipments between oversees partners and our branches.
  • Ensures the creation of late notices and submits per requirements.
  • Handles rate corrections.
  • Handles all linehaul arrangements, including rate comparisons, on baggage and ocean shipments.
  • Coordinates and interacts with JPPSO.
  • Responsible for data entry into multiple software for the company and military.
  • Communicates with agents and Service Members and provides appropriate information.
  • Provide administrative support to Deseret Team.
  • Responsible for answering phone calls and emails; handling appropriate responses.
  • Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.
  • Perform any other task or assignment as deemed necessary by the organization.

Education and/or Experience:

Education and/or Experience:

  • Be able to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to keep confidentiality.
  • Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to read and write the English language with proficiency sufficient to communicate with co-workers, clients and visitors. Understand and adhere to verbal and written company policies.
  • Proven ability to apply attention to detail, role-related accuracy and task follow-through.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Outlook Calender, and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong organization skills and follow-up skills required.
  • Polite, positive, proactive, and professional demeanor.
  • The ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner.
