EHS Training Manager at Pennoni in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

Pennoni is hiring for an EHS Training Manager to join our team on a full-time, direct basis and contribute to our Environmental, Health, & Safety operations while based at our Training Center in Mechanicsburg, PA .



Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for coordinating / conducting / leading EHS training, reporting, and procedure development / deployment within Pennoni.
• Act as the Manager of an established EHS Training Program.
• Lead the execution of the strategic & tactical EHS training plans.
• Manage, market, and grow the Pennoni training program (in-person & online).
• Develop, update, coordinate, and/or conduct training programs.
• Update and create EHS training programs & procedures with our trainers.
• Organize, conduct, and support management in the continued delivery of an excellent training program.
• Manage EHS Training KPI development as well as reporting.
• Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (preferably in Industrial Hygiene, OHS, Environmental Science, EHS, Safety Management, Education, or a related field).
• 10+ years of professional experience working with Professional Training and/or EHS-related tasks (preferably with OHS, Industrial Hygiene, and/or Environmental Remediation).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certification (e.g.: ASP, CSP, CIH, and/or CIT) is preferred.
• Proficiency with OSHA, EPA, Lead, Asbestos, and RCRA regulations.
• Experience with Learning & Development, especially with Instructional Design; experience with designing & developing training curriculum, making presentations, classroom instruction, and/or preparing instructional materials are preferred.
• Strong leadership and conflict management skills; Project Management experience is a plus!
• Proficiency on standard Microsoft Office applications (e.g.: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.); experience using Learning Management System [LMS] and/or media development software (for course development).
• Excellent organizational skills, especially with a proven ability to work in an energetic and challenging work environment on a variety of projects; this person will be expected to demonstrate a self-motivated demeanor while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
• Proven ability to work independently or in a team environment while demonstrating strong character and dependability; this person will be expected to work effectively with peers, leadership, and clients!
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) with the proven ability to communicate with all stakeholders (internal & external); bi-lingual proficiency with Spanish and English is a plus!
