OVERVIEW

The Manager of AI &Innovation will report to the CIO and work closely with firm lawyers and professional staff. They will primarily be responsible for developing AI strategy and driving AI usage to improve workflow efficiencies and service value for clients.

The role is ideally based in a city with a Jenner & Blockoffice (Chicago, New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or London).

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop integration strategies and plans for seamless incorporation of AI technologies into existing systems, processes, and workflows
  • Drive usage of AI tools and services to create process improvements and increase quality of our work product
  • Collaborate with invested parties to understand business requirements and objectives that could benefit from AI integration
  • Promote and facilitate AI awareness, learning, and support for lawyers and professional staff
  • Customize AI solutions or develop custom AI algorithms, models, or applications tailored to specific business requirements
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of AI integrations to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance meet desired standards
  • Guide lawyer understanding and presentation of AI solutions
  • Maintain and promote an up-to-date inventoryof all AI tools (applications, prompts, etc.) and services for us by our lawyers and professional staff
  • Facilitate arrangements with vendors and manage the overall vendor management lifecycle to ensure that licenses are best leveraged by stakeholders, in partnership with the procurement team
  • Stay abreast of available and emerging AI technologies to support lawyers and professional staff with a range of solutions
  • Develop benchmarks to track and analyze successful implementation of projects

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in AI integration, with a strong understanding of AI technologies, algorithms, and platforms in a legal environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically about AI integration challenges
  • Able to champion AI innovation to a wide range of audiences and comfortable teaching, coaching, and mentoring lawyers and professional staff
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled at generating buy-in across diverse stakeholder base
  • Broad technology understanding, able to engage and liaise with both technical and non- technical audiences
  • Enjoys and proactively keeps up-to-date with AI market trends
  • Long-term vision, with ability to plan and execute short-term solutions
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to consistently deliver on objectives
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Bachelor degree required. A JD or a Masters in a technical field a plus

Jenner & Block is proud to offer a competitive total rewards package, including comprehensive health & well-being benefits and 401k profit sharing. The anticipated pay range for this role is $175,000-$225,000. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on several factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
