Job Description:

Job Summary:Copper Roots is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Lead Transmission Line Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in transmission line design with voltages ranging from 69kV to 345kV. The candidate should be proficient in PLS-CADD and have a strong understanding of transmission line engineering fundamentals, industry standards, and construction practices.Key Responsibilities:Design and analyze overhead transmission lines from 69kV to 345kV using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.Perform structure loading analysis, sag and tension calculations, and line routing evaluations.Develop and review transmission line drawings, including plan and profile, structure, and material assembly drawings.Ensure compliance with industry standards, including NESC, ASCE, RUS, IEEE, and ACI.Effectively communicate, delegate, and lead team members to successfully execute projects.Coordinate with clients and other stakeholders on the status of the project.Prepare and issue material lists, engineering reports, cost estimates, project scopes, and technical specifications.Provide technical support during bidding, procurement, and construction phases.Conduct site visits and work with field teams to ensure project success.Track and manage project metrics including scope, schedule, and budget.Ensure overall quality of design tasks and project deliverables through adherence of quality procedures.Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in transmission engineering.Foster a positive work environment and contribute to the knowledge growth of individuals and the team.Maintain existing and support the growth of potential new client relationships.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.Minimum of 3 years of experience in transmission line design.Proficiency with PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.Familiarity with transmission line materials, structures, and foundations.Knowledge of steel pole structure design.
