Experience: 7 years of experience with manufacturing technology or related. Any suitable combination of experience of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Requires skills and experience in the following: Proficient with the following MES (manufacturing execution system) configuration software; Familiar with OSI Soft application suite (Vision and Historian); Basic knowledge of Rockwell suite (AssetCentre, ThinMgr, FT View, and FT PanelView); Familiar with SCADA UI applications; Familiar with FactoryTalk View SE, Aveva InTouch and OMI; Proficient with SQL, Atlassian, NET, XML, and Java; Expertise with architecture and application diagramming; and General understanding and experience with Network configuration.
Job duties: Research, design, and develop computer and network software and specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software and enhance existing software capabilities. Work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements. Maintain databases within an application area, working individually and coordinating database development as part of a team. Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system and modification of an existing system. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Confer with data processing and project managers to obtain information on limitations and capabilities for data processing projects. Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Consult with customers and other departments on project status, proposals, and technical issues, such as software system design and maintenance.
