Position Summary:
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at the Rolls-Royce Power Systems Aiken plant, you will be a critical leader in optimizing and executing cost-effective manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for production flow, assembly methods, and equipment selection, ensuring that all processes meet product specifications and quality standards. This role involves leading continuous improvement initiatives, mentoring team members, and ensuring a strong compliance and safety culture.
Key Accountabilities:
Process Development and Optimization: Lead the development and execution of manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods, and equipment selection, to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness while meeting product specifications and quality standards.
Policy and Procedure Improvement: Lead and support organizational groups to develop, improve, and implement policies, procedures, and controls. Provide accurate feedback and facilitate continuous improvement through effective team collaboration.
Tooling and Equipment: Design, source, test, and cost-justify various tools, machinery, and equipment. Ensure that the selected manufacturing methods align with production goals and enhance efficiency.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze production data and write reports to validate processes or identify deviations from standards. Use insights from data to drive process improvements.
Work Instructions and Procedures: Develop and implement detailed work instructions, processes, and procedures for the production floor and department, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and support for complex manufacturing operations, serving as a key resource for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Safety and Compliance: Review and improve processes and procedures to preserve and enhance employee safety. Promote a compliance culture and uphold the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct.
Facility Layout and Planning: Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of buildings, assembly areas, and equipment to optimize production efficiency and ensure safety.
Training and Mentorship: Train production staff on processes and procedures. Mentor and develop team members in manufacturing engineering and project management, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Special Projects: Performs special projects as required.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering with 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering; or 9 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.

Proficiency with PC and MS Office Suite.
Practical experience with manufacturing simulation and CAD software.
Experience with SAP.
Proficiency with MS Project.
Work Conditions:

This position has a compressed work schedule (Monday through Thursday).
While performing tasks for this position, the employee is regularly requested to perform work on a computer inside and occasionally outside of the work environment. Finally, the employee will be frequently requested to perform tasks in environmental conditions where there are unpleasant odors and gases. Please note, the conditions can be hazardous.

Also, the employee will be regularly requested to sit within a particular work environment. Next, the employee will frequently be requested to walk inside and outside the work environment.
