Rolls-Royce is looking for a Control Software Engineer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on flagship Rolls-Royce programs and play a vital role in solving some of the most complex and interesting technological challenges in the industry while being part of a global, multi-disciplinary team.
As a Control Software Engineer, you will develop, write, test and document embedded code for safety critical electronic engine control and monitoring systems.
You may be involved at any stage of a project lifecycle from concept development, integrated/component testing through final production release. You'll usually work in project teams with colleagues in other branches of engineering.

Key Accountabilities:
Strong development experience
Familiarity with the design and development of embedded software solutions
Knowledge in software design patterns
Familiarity with Integration (software/hardware and software/software) and component level testing
Familiarity on software lifecycle (Design to release)
Knowledge of software testing framework
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline with 1+ years Software (traditional and model-base) experience, OR
Master's degree in STEM discipline with experience in Software OR
PhD in degree in STEM discipline with experience in Software
In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.
Preferred Requirements:
1+ year of experience in embedded safety critical software engineering
Familiar with Model based software design and simulation (Simulink or similar)
Use a DO-178 compliant software coding process.
Control systems experience
Digital logic design experience
Familiar with verification and testing frameworks
Familiar with working in agile software development teams
Current (or ability to obtain/maintain) US DOD Secret or Top Secret security Clearance
Ability to present technical data to senior engineers and management

Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location. It's a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement.
