Shipping Lead - Wednesday - Saturday - 8:00am-6:30pm at Distribution Management Inc in Carlisle, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

Responsibilities Include:
The shipping lead will act as the subject matter expert in support of the department, supervisor, and DC Manager. They will be the team's "go-to" for procedural-related guidance.

Complete the pre-shift checklist (ex., turn on chucks, gather supplies and materials, etc.).

Work in coordination with the supervisor to assign daily priorities and participate in shift meetings.

Partner with the supervisor to identify the root cause of exceptions and QC diverts. Communicate all performance issues to the supervisor.

Inspect outbound shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.

Track quality variances and identify when other process improvements are needed.

Partner with on-site trainer to mentor new employees. Ensure SOPs and DC policies are being followed.

Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.

Dress Code-Specifics Required

Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.

Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and comply with OSHA and other appropriate standards.

When volume demands, pick customer orders for shipment, ensure that the correct number and type of product is picked. Assemble orders for shipment.
