Role Description:

Arcadis is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to join the team in Los Angeles to p erform support services as part of the construction management and administration of the project construction contracts, and to ensure that the construction of the project is completed with elevated level of quality and safety.

Role Accountabilities:

As a Transportation Coordinator you will be part of a fully integrated construction management team. Perform the necessary project reporting requirements and control procedures in the performance of the scope of services, adhere to and comply with all current policies and procedures, and in conformance to all contract requirements and government regulations.


  • Assists with the development of the safety and certification plan.
  • Monitors construction and assists in coordination of testing, pre-revenue operations and start-up activities to verify compliance with safety certification criteria.
  • Verifies systems, subsystems, components, equipment and materials furnished and installed conform to contracts and meet the safety certification requirements.
  • Develops and monitor safety certification checklists.
  • Verifies the transit system is safe for use in compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, standard of care and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinates with METRO, designers and contractors to secure elements required for safety certification.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in rail transit and safety (ten (10) years of experience desirable)
  • Experience with California Public Utilities Commission.

Key Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven experience and ability to perform safety certification activities.
  • Familiarity with street-running light rail is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and to make presentations to affected groups

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $104,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
