Shape and guide the development of innovative and functional architectural designs.
Utilize architectural software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM) for detailed project plans and drawings.
Ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and regulations across a diverse portfolio of projects.
Integrate sustainable design principles into projects.
Mentor and guide junior team members, providing regular feedback and support to nurture their growth and development, while fostering a collaborative and supportive studio environment. Facilitate learning opportunities, encourage continuous professional development, and promote a culture of excellence and innovation within the team.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including other in-house Engineers and external consultants.
Address design and technical challenges with creative problem-solving.
Present design ideas clearly and persuasively to clients and stakeholders, ensuring their vision and requirements are understood and integrated into the project. Maintain strong relationships through effective communication, active listening, and responsive feedback, fostering trust and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Review drawings and specifications meticulously for accuracy and quality.
Stay current with industry trends, adapting to new technologies and methodologies.
*The majority of the time, a person in this role will be sitting in an office with limited physical requirements. This may require individuals to bend, stretch, twist, and reach. On occasion, individuals will be required to visit a client site to perform site verifications and field surveys.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in architecture plus a minimum of 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in architecture (BArch) or Bachelor of Science in Architecture + Master’s degree in Architecture with 15+ years of relevant experience in design, resolving technical issues, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Licensed Architect
Experience supporting Commercial interiors projects is preferred.
Revit and BIM as well as experience in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, InDesign, and software such as Rhino, SketchUp, or other visualization tools.
Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures pertinent to transit projects
Affinity with developing details and experience in construction documents
Ability to lead integrated design teams of varying sizes to accomplish project delivery from concept through construction document completion and may perform construction administration
Ability to be client-facing and lead client discussions and charrettes

Expected Range*: $90,000 to $135,000
The position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus
