Coordinates clinical program development activities to support the strategic growth goals for the Legacy Cancer Center Institute Medical Oncology. Responsible for understanding market data analysis, planning, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of initiatives to increase volume to services and programs. Works to integrate services and outreach activities to maximize our efficiency and increase patient referrals. Develops, implements and evaluates a plan to maintain excellent relationships with referring physicians and facilities. Works collaboratively with designated medical leaders, program directors, managers and staff to develop, implement and evaluate outreach goals. Provides patient education and coordinates all aspects of new patient referrals to medical oncology. Main resource for all referring physicians to medical oncology. Provides and implements care coordination of patient through the continuum of care with the medical oncologist.
Care of Patients
Performs and documents bio-psychosocial assessments according to patient age and condition.
Formulates and implements a plan of care for each patient which includes interventions, evaluation of response to interventions and documentation as appropriate to condition and age.
Plans and coordinates nursing care and clinical decisions using the best available evidence.

Promotes safe practice as it relates to patient care.
Recognizes, intervenes, and reports patient safety issues/risks.
Prevents transmission of communicable diseases in the healthcare setting.
Complies with all laws, regulations, scope of practice guidelines, and Legacy standards in providing patient care.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
One-year registered nursing experience, or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program that is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration.
Knowledge/Skills:
Positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community.
Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
