Job Summary
Center for Advanced Medical Computing and Analysis (CAMCA) at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School seeks Graduate Research Assistants to join our interdisciplinary team. In this role, the Graduate Research Assistant will work closely with researchers, including postdoctoral fellows and other research associates, under the supervision of Dr. Quanzheng Li. The aim of the project is to explore and implement techniques to improve healthcare processes, with an initial focus on radiological care.
The Graduate Research Assistant will assist in developing and analyzing data, create methods to improve system efficiency, and contribute to the creation of new approaches for delivering better healthcare services. This position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in healthcare and is open to individuals with a background in operations research, data analysis, or other related fields.
Qualifications
Anticipated responsibilities include:
Attend and actively contribute to regular research group meetings, providing updates on progress, discussing challenges, and collaborating with team members on research strategies and findings. Conduct literature reviews to identify relevant research and technologies. Prepare and compose research presentations. Present findings at internal meetings, academic conferences, or other professional platforms. Conduct statistical analysis of various healthcare datasets, applying appropriate data analysis techniques to interpret and summarize research results. Collaborate with team members on experimental design and results interpretation.
Creative thinking, ability to work independently, a willingness to learn new software and skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks are expected. Priority goes to highly motivated and organized individuals, committed to doing impactful research, with great attention to detail.
