The Boeing Company's St. Louis Acquisition Center is currently seeking two Experienced Estimating Team Leads to join a growing team in Hazelwood, MO.

The successful candidate will be responsible for helping support new and developing estimators on a variety of tasks including customer requirements evaluation, estimate development, reviews/approvals, and fact-finding and negotiation support for new business activities in a mentoring/peer leadership capacity. This team supports a variety of programs and divisions while developing new estimating talent. This position provides a great opportunity to develop the successful candidate's program/product estimating breadth as well as leadership skills.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Assists developing estimators in the preparation of cost estimates and proposals including requirements evaluation, data analysis, and substantiation/documentation through stakeholder review and approval process (e.g. Supply Chain, Program)
  • Performs estimating activities in compliance with policies and procedures, including both internal controls as well as Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • Helps ensure policies and procedures are communicated to and applied across the team
  • Reviews and approves material estimates within team lead delegation of authority


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
  • 5+ years of experience within estimating

  • Bachelor's Degree or university coursework in a field that encourages creative problem solving and diverse perspectives, such as marketing, economics, engineering, mathematics, operations research, statistics, business, finance, accounting, contracts, estimating and pricing, business operations, procurement, financial analysis, or a related discipline.   • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines, prioritizing tasks in a way that promotes work-life balance and inclusivity

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $84,150 - $113,850
