What Youll Do

• Build datacenter software technologies and expertise to drive Samsung memory technologies and innovations for use in public and private clouds by leveraging the benefits of memory innovations. 
• As a key member of the Storage Software team, you will be responsible for designing and developing software for a state-of-the-art distributed storage system.  As a storage IO path developer, you will play a key role in the design, development and optimization of the IO path within our distributed storage systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our storage solutions deliver exceptional performance, scalability and reliability.
• The successful candidate must be a strong team player, have excellent communication skills and should have experience developing Linux-based highly available distributed systems, with a focus on performance and quality. This staff level senior role involves significant responsibility and requires creativity, leadership as well as passion to build high performance flash-based storage systems.

Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose office/headquarters 3 days per week with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time.

What You Bring

• BS/MS Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 10+ years of experience developing enterprise software solutions in C/C++ on Linux or a MS in Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science with 8+ years or PhD in engineering or related Science with 5+ years of Industry Experience preferred.
• Linux-based Platform evaluation, creation, configuration, and maintenance in various HW and SW subsystems
• Developing, creating, and maintaining Linux-based bootable ISO and PXE images
• Custom kernel configurations, builds, and maintenance
• Developing, integrating, and building third party and or custom kernel modules
• Minimizing OS configuration and footprint
• SW packing methods and technologies
• Security Understanding of vulnerabilities and minimizing strategies, firewall, switch, router configurations
• Scripting & Languages C/C++, Python, shell, Perl, Java, Javascript
• Networking Ethernet, DHCP, DNS, LDAP, SNMP
• HW BIOs, Loader, IPMI, BMC, UEFI
• Virtualization Vmware, Virtualbox, KVM, Xen
• Containers Docker, Linux Containers (LXC), Kubernetes
• Clustering Zookeeper
• SW Development tools Git, agile development methodologies
• Familiarity with ELK (Elasticsearch/Logstash/Kibana), Collected
• Familiarity with managing VMs in public cloud and on-prem.

Base Pay Range$157,000—$243,000 USD
