Job Summary:



Columbia Forest Products, North America's largest manufacturer of hardwood plywood and hardwood veneer products, is seeking an experienced ERP Program Manager to lead the successful deployment of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system across multiple manufacturing plants in the United States and Canada. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the program, from planning and budgeting to execution and go-live. This is a critical role that demands a strong understanding of ERP systems, project management methodologies, and the ability to manage complex, multi-site deployments.



Key Responsibilities:




Program Execution



  • Develop and manage a comprehensive program plan for the multi-site ERP deployment, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Manage all phases of the ERP implementation lifecycle, including system configuration, data migration, user training, and change management.

  • Collaborate with plant operations teams to identify and address site-specific requirements and challenges.

  • Ensure effective communication and stakeholder management across all teams and departments involved in the deployment.

  • Monitor project progress, identify, and resolve issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive testing plans to ensure system functionality and data integrity.

  • Manage the go-live process for each plant, ensuring a smooth transition to the new ERP system.

  • Track and report on project metrics, including budget adherence, schedule milestones, and user adoption rates.


Governance



  • Establish and maintain strong program governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with business objectives, compliance requirements, and risk management best practices.

  • Develop and enforce program controls, including decision-making frameworks, escalation paths, and issue resolution processes.

  • Ensure adherence to project methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) while incorporating structured governance principles.

  • Lead the steering committee and executive reporting, providing transparency on risks, dependencies, and program health.

  • Collaborate with assurance partners (e.g., PWC, auditors) to assess governance effectiveness and implement best practices.

  • Monitor and improve program KPIs related to compliance, risk management, and delivery excellence.


Leadership



  • Lead a cross-functional team of IT professionals, business stakeholders, and external consultants to ensure successful project execution.

  • Lead and mentor a diverse team: Provide guidance, support, and development opportunities to team members to help them achieve their full potential.

  • Foster a positive work environment: Promote a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and open communication to ensure a motivated and engaged workforce.


Qualifications:



  • 10 years of experience in ERP implementations, preferably with a focus on program & project management.

  • Proven success in managing cross-functional ERP projects within a manufacturing

  • Proficiency with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools to maintain transparency and accountability.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and people skills.

  • Proven track record in ERP program governance, including risk, compliance, and decision-making structures.

  • Experience with governance framework best practices.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior executives and steering committees.

  • Ability to travel to multiple plant locations.
