Job Summary This position directs and supervises the Communications & Strategic Engagement Team. Key position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Communicate clear performance expectations & assignments
  • Develop a cooperative team environment and leadership potential among staff by coaching and mentoring employees day-to-day
  • Ensure staff training needs are met, provide annual performance evaluations and perform other Human Resources related duties, as necessary
  • Direct development and execution of Communications & Strategic Engagement Team multi-year unit strategic roadmap, monitor progress and collect data on unit’s accomplishments toward annual goals

The incumbent will report directly to the Enterprise Chief Information Officer and be a member of the ITS executive team. This key leadership position is expected to bring innovative solutions and strategies to the organization in the areas of change management, quality improvement, process improvement, strategic planning, customer engagement and experience, communications, marketing, brand management, public relations, and major strategic initiative management. Candidates must be an excellent communicator and relationship builder with a reputation for integrity, customer service, and the ability to inspire confidence at all levels of the organization. Candidates must also bring experience in successfully working collaboratively across an organization with interdisciplinary teams.
