Payroll Administrator/Specialist-Construction



Position Overview



Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team in California. This position is 100% onsite and offers a temporary-to-hire opportunity for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll, particularly within the construction industry, and will be adept at managing payroll for a workforce of 100 employees or more.

Responsibilities



  • Manage and process payroll for a workforce of over 100 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

  • Handle payroll-related tasks specifically within the construction industry, leveraging industry-specific knowledge to improve payroll processes.

  • Maintain in-house payroll systems, with a preference for candidates who have experience outside of ADP.

  • Collaborate with the HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations and address any discrepancies or issues.

  • Ensure all payroll activities align with company standards and regulatory requirements, including tax filings and reporting.

  • Assist in developing and implementing best practices for payroll processing to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Provide support for any payroll audits and contribute to the preparation of audit reports as needed.


Qualifications



  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration, with a strong preference for candidates with construction industry experience.

  • Proven experience in managing payroll for 100 employees or more.

  • In-house payroll experience is highly preferred over ADP experience.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.


Required Work Hours



The Payroll Administrator will work from Monday to Friday, during the first shift hours.

Additional Details



The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 per year.
