This position is for a Hazardous Location engineer at our Garland, TX location. This position is ideal for an engineer with experience in product safety certification. The position is primarily tasked with conducting technical evaluations and testing while providing friendly, accurate, and timely communication with customers. Additional tasks include ensuring sound technical operations through development and implementation of equipment, procedures, templates, and training.

Potential travel of 20-30%. The company supported health insurance, PTO, and Retirement Plans included as part of compensation.

Required Experience
• Degree in engineering (electrical preferred). Associates accepted with relevant experience.
• Experience working with IECEx, ATEX, UL, and/or CSA standards or product safety is required.
• 2-5 Years Relevant Experience

Desired Experience
• Experience working for an ISO 17025 Test Laboratory or certification body is a plus.
• Experience with regulatory standards and testing.
• Experience with design or manufacture of electrical equipment.

Education
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or
  • Technical degree with relevant work experience or
  • 5+ years of relevant experience

Work Location
  • Onsite at Garland, TX (75041)

Job Tasks

Primary
• Conduct evaluations, testing, and training for clients in the areas of products, personnel, sites, and quality system
• Travel to client and partner sites as required both domestic and international.
• Ensure operational compliance with our technical accreditors.
• Communicate with clients and potential clients regarding active and potential projects.

Secondary
• Develop technical marketing material such as White Papers and presentations.
• Develop lab test apparatus.

Tertiary
• Generate client quotes.
• Other duties as needed.
