Overview
We are seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager that is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, providing exceptional service while overseeing the day-to-day management of policies. This role includes maintaining client relationships, addressing their insurance needs, and ensuring coverage is up-to-date. The Account Manager will work closely with underwriters, carriers, and other team members to ensure the timely and accurate handling of accounts.
Responsibilities
To effectively, accurately, and timely manage a book of Insurance business.
To grow client loyalty by building positive relationships and excellent service.
To handle renewals, service requests, claims, billing and new policies.
To maintain understanding markets, appetites, underwriting guidelines, submitting procedures.
To review all applications, policies, endorsements and audits for accuracy.
To coordinate expiration list with department manager to obtain renewal business information.
Required skills and Qualifications:
Active General Lines Property and Casualty license issued by the Ohio Department of Insurance.
Continuing education requirements fulfilled to maintain active license status.
Ideally around 10 years of Commercial Account Manager/CSR experience within an insurance agency.
Thorough knowledge of commercial insurance policies and coverages.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, EPIC, and Outlook) a plus.
