SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Data Processing Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the company's Data Processing Department. The Data Processing Manager ensures all client deliverables are satisfactorily completed and executed without errors and all Service Level Agreements are fulfilled and expedited within the assigned turn around Deadline in addition to efficiently overseeing and deploying personnel and related applicable resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversees department personnel, enforces department policies and Standard Operating Procedures, hires and trains personnel, administers performance reviews and personnel management including timekeeping; provides leadership and direction including implementation of motivational strategies to create a supportive and collaborative work environment. Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
  • Oversees department resource planning and department budget.
  • Ensures all Service Level Agreements are satisfactorily met, and all production deliverables are expedited in a timely manner, ensures all deliverables are completed to the clients' expectation and satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with technical support, operations and client facing team to ensure accurate processing by file and application according to all documented resources. Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate support for all projects, pre-ingestion, complex processing pre and postproduction, and archival requirements.
  • Ensures that the Department accomplish business objectives; completes and expedites Service Level Agreements on-time and free of errors.
  • Provides the Executive Leadership with monthly, quarterly, and annual reports that detail department performance in a budget summary and expenditures.
  • Reviews and monitors all tickets attributed to the Department; ensures all assigned tickets have been addressed, resolved, and closed in a timely manner; collaborates with other department managers to provide expedited Root Cause Analysis to clients.
  • Oversees interdepartmental coordination for monthly production, meetings, new implementations or applications, tax planning, and other projects as needed.
  • Supports internal client facing teams and Senior Managers with strategic management of top client accounts.
  • Assigned other duties and special projects as required by management.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer-related field required.

Experience and Skills:
  • Database experience, a plus
  • Strong working knowledge with MS Office
  • Proficient in Unix/Linux, with bash shell experience
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technology.
  • Thorough understanding of computer systems.
  • Ability to explain technical information in understandable language to nontechnical employees.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an exempt manager role, or similar responsibility structure
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate staff and provide positive motivation.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft annual budgets, maintain and track expenditures with budget structure, and provide budget summary reports.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a diverse, multi-cultural and multi-generational staff.
  • Able to multi-task in demanding and fast paced environment
  • Requires technical problem resolution skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with expedited responsiveness.
  • Ability to be on call 24/7.
  • Ability to commute to the corporate office.
