Position Summary
Easterly is conducting a search for a Marketing Product Specialist to research, write and manage the execution of written content, turning technical concepts into easy-to-understand collateral. The role requires strong investment knowledge of investment products with the proven ability to work collaboratively with leadership, sales, and investment teams to provide clients / investors with actionable insights. The Market Product Specialist will report to the Vice President, Communications.
Primary responsibilities shall include the following:
Product Marketing & Messaging:
Develop a deep understanding of Easterly's products to serve as a subject matter expert on product positioning and the value proposition for existing and prospective clients.
Plan, research, write and edit compelling content that highlights our investment capabilities, monitoring market trends and competitor activity to identify emerging topics.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and investment teams to create headline-driven pieces, primers, and white papers that demonstrate the firm's investment expertise.
Distill complex investment strategies into clear, digestible marketing materials that resonate with clients.
Market Outlooks and Portfolio Commentary:
Develop and produce insightful market outlooks, investment commentary, and macroeconomic updates for internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with portfolio managers and investment teams to understand performance, trends, and outlooks to accurately reflect in materials.
Tailor content to specific client segments, ensuring relevance and clarity.
Marketing Collateral Development:
Lead the creation of new marketing collateral, including client specific material, sales decks, and new product development.
Ensure all product collateral aligns with brand standards, regulatory requirements, and market needs.
RFPs and Proposals:
Maintain the library of standardized RFP content to ensure messaging is compelling and consistent in proposal submissions.
Manage and respond to RFPs from institutional clients, consultants, and prospects, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Bachelor's degree with strong academic performance
A minimum of 5 years of proven experience writing in the asset management industry is required.
Excellent writing skills and with the ability to easily identify the hook
Self-starter, ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
Ability to prioritize and execute on multiple simultaneous priorities and initiatives
Strong project management skills, attention to detail; highly organized; strong communication and analytical skills a must.
A solid understanding of the regulatory environment ('40 Act) as it pertains to marketing is required.
