Information Technology Associate

Salary: $65,000 

UUP is looking for a motivated individual to work in a member focused environment as an IT Associate.  This is a hybrid position after an initial 6-month onboarding/probation period on-site, based in Latham, NY. Some travel is required within New York State. Must have a team-first attitude with a willingness to explore new ideas and be flexible with ever-changing projects and requirements.  Communications skills with both technical and non-technical staff a must.  Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Function as frontline support for internal and external users
• Desktop/laptop, printer and IT equipment administration
• Manage nightly backups via Backup Exec using rotational disk drives
• Internal office database support, specifically using SQL Server, MYSQL and PHP
• Chapter website support and maintenance via WordPress and html pages
• Internal phone system support using Avaya IP Office Manager (PBX system)
• Familiarity with Office 365 suite
• Backup for Windows Active Directory/network administration
• Backup to the web manager for UUP’s websites
• General office IT projects as assigned

A bachelor’s degree in an IT related field is required.  The IT Associate will serve under the general supervision of the Director of Information Technology.
